Even if an update builds fine, that does not mean they actually work as intended, especially for something as complex as a rendering and JavaScript engine. The main test battery (apart from the source's unit tests that I haven't tried yet?), even per upstream, is using www/epiphany. I actually need to update the phab as I have 2.46 built successfully for a few weeks now, but not runtime tested.
