Well, I know this isn't quite what you were asking, but I wanted to let the group know that the world and kernel seem quite stable using the athlon-tbird optimizations. Not to mention smokingly fast. Incidentally, I know this is a scary, scary thing, but how do I turn off the various debugging options that are on in GENERIC? I'd like to compile a hotrod kernel/world for testing...is it just a matter of commenting out DEBUG=-g? Thanks! -Cliff L.
