Assuming it wouldn't risk causing even more problems on some other systems. Or maybe report it as another sysctl variable so that the mismatch could be seen more easily. I only noticed that something was off when make world took much more time than expected. But if that only happens with certain BIOS versions of one particular motherboard I guess it might not be worth trying to deal with it at all. And that might be the case here. Alright I'm gonna try 3.50 and see if the weirdness goes away. I haven't tried that motherboard with another OS yet.
