Hardware is an HP Pavilion dv2000 laptop. When I put in the BSD DVD to install, I get the cd loader, and up to the line '/boot/kernel/kernel text=0x8d9548'. The computer sits there for a minute or two, before rebooting itself.
I found, however, that if I hit escape in bios and explicitly choose to boot from the CD/DVD drive, the install will work just fine. >How-To-Repeat: Burn FreeBSD iso, put in drive and turn it on :-). >Fix: Explicitly choosing to boot from cd/dvd. >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: _______________________________________________ freebsd-bugs@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-bugs To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-bugs-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"
