A long time ago, I made the bug report about this device: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/libfprint/libfprint/issues/48
I still have my HP Elitebook 8560w and I will start to analyse it and making the driver. I sniffed with Wireshark the link Windows - sensor. But I don't have experience on writing something just with these kind of logs. Not sure that I could get a nice result quickly.
