All true but if the compiler can make your life easier then new people will be going that route. Manual memory management is a thing of the past I think it’s safe to say.


And yet, I recall that only a few mails back, you yourself limited ARC/GC to desktop apps. To which, btw, others already replied, that even there it can cause performance issues.

So, I disagree.
