If the dynamic code page of the assigned string was already CP_UTF8 (or CP_ACP with DefaultSystemCodePage = CP_UTF8), no actual conversion will happen though. Is the overhead of that extra bit of code really noticeable? And is it worth the confusion and inconvenience?
