Valid URI's are for example mailto:[email protected] or news:comp.infosystems.www.servers.unix. The SIP URI is sip:user:password@host:port;uri-parameters?headers and sips:user:password@host:port;uri-parameters?headers for secure sip (http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3261#page-148).
