Hello team GFortran, My name is Harshil Hardik Shah, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar. I am interested in applying for GSoC 2026 and found the project titled *“Implementing Fortran 2018 and 2023 Features”* particularly exciting.
Over the past year, I have been contributing to the open-source project LFortran which is also a Fortran compiler. During this time, I have implemented several Fortran 2018 features, including *Assumed Rank arrays* and *SELECT RANK* for them. I would like to understand which Fortran 2018/2023 features are currently the highest priority for the organization so that I can align my GSoC proposal accordingly.
