I think the main hurdle here is they want a volunteer that will help Infra resolve issues on their git admin tool, I think its called apache-gitadmin or something along those lines. They have bugs/issues reported in JIRA for the tool and they want someone proficient in Python to help resolve some of those issues. I wasn't, and still am not, proficient in Python so I couldn't volunteer myself. -omar
