There is no CMS code in the published pages. The buildbot gathers and parses all files from the SVN repo and creates plain HTML from them. We need to work with the files in the repo to get this done. I've put the relevant info and a short description of the workflow in one of the comments on this JIRA issue.
As to tables, this was Googles first answer to my query "SEO tables": http://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/6890/are-html-tables-bad-for-seo So, in the grander scheme of things, I think using one to get the job done with a minimum of fuss is acceptable. But I'm open to suggestions, that's what I'm here for, to learn stuff. Do you have any references for your statement about tables and SEO? I hadn't heard about that before and would like to read up on it.
