And I am assuming that is Bertrand's concern. One alternate way (besides
the extra dialog) is to list these in the same dialog with the other four
packages (as required entities). How hard would that be? I would want to
avoid scrollbars so folks miss stuff scrolled off-screen. Could the app
just get a bit taller?
SWFObject and PlayerGlobal.swc are harmless. You cannot "run" them (well,
you can run the .js and .swf in SWFObject but they won't do anything as they
are libraries to be hooked into other HTML pages). Once we expand the AIR
SDK, there are tools in there you can run.
I agree that getting this right has been a huge pain, and that we need to
get it out soon, and once we get these kinds of logistics nailed down it
should be easier in the future, but I think we need to get this right. I
think there is a legal issue here. I'm not clear that Adobe would be happy
to have the AIR SDK downloaded without some acceptance of the licensing.
I'm sorry I missed this in my review. It just didn't occur to me that when
we folded the pre-requisite downloads in to the installer that we needed to
show there licenses as well. The only thing I was looking for was the
places where the ant build asks for your approval.
