Have anybody looked at the code coverage provided in Flexmojos 4? Seems to work fine. Maybe that can be ported to work outside of Maven?
My understanding is that it's using Apparat to inspect the bytecode. Shouldn't be too hard to use that as a standalone tool. I have a pet project I was working on to integrate smoothly with cobertura (with the support of the folks behind cobertura). It doesn't have a community behind it and it was just me, which is why I haven't volunteered it here before. If anyone is interested we can discuss in greater detail.
