I wasn't suggesting that Mike do the work of course that's entirely up to him. I am more than than willing to put in some time in for this issue which is why I asked for the JIRA bug to be assigned to me. As I'm not a committer it can't be assigned to me, I was unaware (now corrected) that non committers couldn't be assigned JIRA bugs. Given that there already some info about on the issue (and perhaps a solution) it would be great if that could be provided. If not that's fine I'll try and work it out myself and submit a patch.
