I tend to agree, it's hard to get everybody to agree on best practices for application building anyway. My suggestion in another thread was that instead of documents people could create sample applications that demonstrate their ideas. In a "contrib" or "samples" area in svn, to make it clear that those represent their author's ideas but not necessarily "the only way". -Bertrand
