Cairngorm 3 is more a set of libs / guidelines you can use with any project / 
micro architecture.
It's very different from cairngorm 2 which is IMHO indeed obsolete compared to 
Swiz and Parsley

But if cairngorm 3 is still actively developed, why not just link to their site?
