Flex is a UI framework and a bazillion times more complicated than any httpd. Flex is the BEST UI framework I have ever used and contains some brilliant innovations. It is not a patched-up knock-off of somebody else's work. Sun's java people have been struggling for YEARS to close the gap between swing and Flex. I can only assume that some really, really smart people worked on Flex.
