If you do a lot of scanning you may find it worthwhile getting a small compressor from a hobby shop, of the type used for airbrushes. That and a cheap lens brush do a pretty good job for me. I use a compressor which has a condenser jar for catching moisture - it works very well. It is also very good for blowing dust off the glass when I am framing prints.
