I believe that Ed set the cut off on free upgrades to registered users of
Vuescan, whose original purchase was of Vuescan and not a predecessor,
terminating the free upgrade privileges for those who originally bought and
registered earlier programs which preceded Vuescan that Ed had developed and
marketed before coming out with Vuescan.

I have DL'ed the latest version. When I use my old Vuescan serial number, I
still get the $$$ watermarks on my scans.
