Constantine, You must have specs for that unit that I don't have. Where did you get that information from?
According to the spec for the SS4k+ I have, they call it a 12k *PIXEL* CCD, but that simply isn't true, it's a 12k tri-linear *SENSOR* CCD, and three sensors give the color information required for a color pixel, and therefore it really is a 4k PIXEL CCD. When Kodak says 10k, they mean 10k across, whether it's one sensor array, or a tri-linear array. Where's David when ya need him ;-) Austin > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Kapetanakis, > Constantine > Sent: Thursday, May 09, 2002 2:05 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [filmscanners] RE: 3 year wait > > > Since you want to be accurate it is a 5340 element CCD. > > -----Original Message----- > From: Austin Franklin [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Thursday, May 09, 2002 1:36 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [filmscanners] RE: 3 year wait > > > > > <<The ss120 you mentioned, is using the 10K element top of the > > line Kodak CCD.>>> > > > > Does the Sprintscan 4000 Plus use this as well? > > > > Howard > > Hi Howard, > > No. It uses a 4000 element array.
