What do you a digital back for? Do you intend to switch from viewing slides to viewing digital images on your screen? I don't see any point in switching to digital for my personal photography. My peronal work is b&w on baryta paper. I need digital equipment only because of my commercial photography - to send quickly my photographs to a theater magazine or to have a cataloque on my computer to have less fuss with backorders, to give theaters a set of high-quality scans so they don't need my negatives, to apply some techniques which I can't do traditionally because of time-pressure (i.e. lith-processing). A lot of application for a high-quality scanner. But do some of you have the idea to switch to digital for everyday photography? That would seem strange to me.
