With a different header and following the methods the other drivers are using, it would presumably be without --enable-gpl. This is, after all, exactly what all of the proprietary drivers are doing to link proprietary and GPL code while arguing that the GPL does not apply to their proprietary part. > Anyway, this wasn't suggested and would not be accepted.
