Most interesting. I run Windows XP and MacOS 7.5 here for testing, so they are relatively old references. I suspect something has changed in the QuickTime Animation decoder in QuickTime since then.
On a side note, Judging by the XAnim source, there are a lot of opcodes that aren't implemented in qtrle.c. But most files play OK in spite of this.
