I disagree. There are people who have specialty areas. They are the de facto leaders of their domains. If you gave me constructive feedback on a patch in your domain, I’d look at you as a technical thought leader in the space. There is also a Technical Committee. People can say what they want about the TC, but it’s there. We spent time voting for them. They spend significant time in this project.
