As noted in the previous two iterations' cover letter etc, I would like to have some opinions on whether to remove or deprecate this struct member. Personally I see the struct member being one of those private ones that Andreas removed earlier, and thus deprecating it feels weird while all of the other private variables got removed from AVIOContext already. I can also do this deprecation dance, as this patch already shows that change being done :) .
