According to http://www.libretro.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=134 (and your comments in the code) he's using HQx diff so... just pick the code from libavfilter/vf_hqx.c, we will factor it out later. BTW, how much effort it is to add the x3 and x4 scale? -- Clément B.
