If you have a Debian jessie/sid installation, just clone the Debian
packaging repository [1], install the build-dependencies mentioned in
debian/control, (apply the patch from debian/patches) and build the package:
fakeroot debian/rules binary-arch
Note that I only tested on a powerpc qemu emulation, but since the
failure on Debian's ppc64el buildd [2] is identical, I assume it will be
fixed there as well.
