I do actually like hearing from msec every morning, telling me what has changed on my machine. As for zeroconf and tmdns, the only way they can possibly be useful is on a network with no gateway to the internet, and who does that anymore. I used to joke that zeroconf is great if you have two computers hooked up with a crossover cable.
