I'm having troubles in installing wu-ftpd. I tried to update some
packages from 8.2 to 9.0 manually as upgrading was giving me problems.
It all resulted in a complete dissaster and went back to reinstall
original 8.2 packages. As I was not able (still haven't) to make wu-ftpd
go ok I tried a "help advice" to a similar case I found googling:
rpm --rebuild /home/diego/tmp/wu-ftpd-2.6.2-3mdk.src.rpm
rpm --erase --nodeps wu-ftpd
rpm -Uvh /usr/src/RPM/RPMS/i586/wu-ftpd-2.6.2-3mdk.i586.rpm
but this last command gave the error:
rpm -Uvh /usr/src/RPM/RPMS/i586/wu-ftpd-2.6.2-3mdk.i586.rpm

/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.98366: fg: no job control

>From what I have found this rpm message is solved using the --root
option, but.... to what directory????? Any hint? what do I do now? Maybe
better to change back to Windows and make true that stupid ones use
their "OS"??? I feel quite a bit fuzzy by now as solving each error just
brings me to another (I could feel like it's improving, but I begin to
think it's endless after a week of solving things!!!!)
