Post the contents of your /etc/hosts file.  It works here for me.  I
didn't even have to restart my browser, but you might have to (I tested
with Mozilla).  I'm also on a Cooker system though, so there might be
mild differences between mine and your 8.2 system (but none that I know
of in the resolver).
