Charlie, et al. You are doing a superb job of educating, and that is what we need for the word to be out there. Because this post was read, and responded to, it is a testimonial for all who participated in the sharing of their views. Again, it does not matter if the institution that publishes these kinds of reports is a minor influence, i.e. Alexis de Tocqueville Institute, or a major influence, i.e. The Rand Corporation. American governmental policy, unlike English parlamentary polity (with due respect to Mr. A. Scott), is, and has been, dependent upon "think tanks" for much of its direction (one has to only look at the American involvement in Viet Nam but surely that is a topic for another type of list).
