have discovered the following behavior :
was wondering, that the nfs-services was not running. in
mandrake-control-center I was looking for services, and nfs was NOT active.
trying to start it had no effects.
After that I made an entry in /etc/exports like :
/home/me/docs jo(rw) mozart(rw)
restarted the machine (because /etc/sysconfig/network restart was not enough)
and made a "mount -a" on jo (it is the 2nd mdk-box) and took a look - it was
mounting.
but the same on the RH7.1-box (mozart) does NOT !
now the output of rpcinfo -p hanna :

seems to be good so far.
but cannot get a "mount -a" on an exported filesystem from (RH7.1) mozart to
mdk 8.0
the next test is to mount an exported filesystem from mdk to RH 7.1
RH7.1 result :
mount:RPC:timeout
one more test between to RH-boxes :
result : okay
now I have a supposition - is it possible, that there is a dependence of the
option "timeo" in /etc/fstab ?
any ideas are really welcome
