-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 There are number of applications I use which currently aren't in RPM format (either in the Cooker or via texstar's excellent work); I'd like to build and distribute them to contribute to the Mandrake commons.
To avoid a tragedy of those commons - and lots of wasted effort and complaints - I want to make sure the RPMs are sound - in other words, generic and not reflecting the quirks of my system. What is the best way to go about doing this? I see two ways: - - someone, through bitter experience, knows how to do it already (but I haven't found anything so far); - - retrieve my second PC from behind the sofa, install Mandrake 8.2 from the CDs and not a byte extra, then build away.
