No idea on whether it's supported, but as a general rule I would
strongly recommend an external modem with standard serial port
connection (not USB).  That way you know you are getting a real one,
it's easily moved between boxes and linux will just work with it, no
questions asked.  They cost a little more, but the frustration index on
getting internal modems to work can be high!
