It means there was a hole in Intel's product line that meant sales
unnecessarily lost to AMD.

You're not paying attention. I'm not currently in the market. "Built"
doesn't mean the same thing as built for myself (as the word's made
explict). A friend's best friend bought a Gateway that went dead at age
13 months on a 12 month warranty. He remembered what I said about the
worth of big name PC builders when he decided he'd had about all he
could take of using a Pentium 60, and asked me to build him something
worth having. The web review said Mandrake install was a breeze on the
Dragon, so I convinced him that was worth having.
