Dear Sir, I have the following problem. If the mail address is not correct, I am sorry, please tell me where can I post such problem. As I install mandrake 8.1, everything is OK. I have 2 pc connected via ethernet (route, ifconfig, hosts, resol.conf are in order). Ping is working OK. As I launch telnet, I receive: trying 192.158.1.5 (the remote host) connection refused. Later, ping does function NO MORE (with remote PC; with localhost and local still works). There is no way to ping again with the remote host. No problem with hardware (between 2 windows works always). It would be useful to know what happen, at least where the permissions are written, in order to avoid reinstalling mandrake every time.
