Wow, this expert list never ceases to amaze me.

Ajax, find some documentation on how to  install a Linux server that will 
be a  gateway/router for your own private LAN.  This server will be your 
access to the Internet, mail pop pickup, etc. for any of the machines you 
have behind this server (your LAN). You can also load Samba on this 
gateway/router server if you want to maintain netbeui on the LAN for some 
RPC stuff, printing, etc.

There is a lot of good documentation for this kind of a thing (you know, 
like using a search engine). You will even find some good info on the 
Mandrake site. You need to start this journey, and as particular issues 
arise, this list should be of some value.
