I would suggest you check the /etc/fstab ; may be some
*stupid* :-) configuration tool modify it and it is
not right. For supermount it should look like this

/dev/cdrom /dev/cdrom supermount
fs=iso9660,dev=/dev/hdb 0 0
/dev/floppy /dev/floppy supermount
fs=msdos,dev=/dev/fd0 0 0

replace with your actual cdrom device and floppy
device.
