Yeah, I've noticed that as well and it's annoyed me enough that I actually got off my lazy arse and modified my /etc/fstab. It had the same cdrom entries as yours, but I just went back to the old way and stuck this line back in: /dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto 0 0 It doesn't automount, but I'm not a big fan of that anyway and I usually disable it pretty early on.
