I use a Toshiba Satellite 4000CDT. The only problems I have on install
are as follows:
1) First boot after install, boot into single-user mode and mv
/etc/rc.d/rc3.d/S45pcmcia /etc/rc.d/rc3.d/S98pcmcia. If you don't do
this, you'll loose your keyboard once the sound card is configured.
(strange, but nothing major...though I would like it fixed if anybody
has the know-how)

2) For some reason the 800x600 LCD option only allows a 640x480 display
on this machine, so use a generic monitor capable of 1024x768x70Hz (what
the external VGA port can handle), and you should be OK. (I may have
chosen a different monitor than usual by mistake, because now when the
display powers off to conserve power, it slowly fades back to white
after a few minutes. I run on AC most of the time, so it's not a big
deal for me, but again, it would be nice if I could figure out how to
fix that as the whole white-screen thing is new with 7.1)
