I have Mandrake 6.1 running on a Compaq 1210.
Sound worked without any additional drivers,
the modem is win only so have to use an external modem,
mouse configs as a PS/2. you can use touchpad <ugh> or
a PS/2 mouse which is easier to use.
It works in 800X600 and doesn't do a bad job with KDE.
I have added memory to the orig 16 meg, but that was the
only change.
If you want the XF86config file, let me know and I'll send
it to you. Secret is to manually put in the HZ and Vert
sync
rates rather that let the monitor choices default.
It was extremely cheap, and although a bit heavy the
price lessened the weight a lot. <grin>
