Hello,
This is my first post to this list. I just got a dual 200 mhz HP Vectra XW
with 128 RAM. It only has a 1 gig HD now (all I had that would work with
it). Anyway, the processors are Intel Pentium Pro's. I installed Mandrake
7.0, it installed the SMP kernel, but when I choose to boot with SMP
support, it never boots up. It boots fine using only 1 processor.
Here is where it stops booting:
ide1 at 0x170-0x177, 0x376 on IRQ 15
It hits that point in the boot, then freezes. It is possible that all of
the needed components didn't get installed because of the lack of hard
drive space?
