I had a similar experience years ago and I solved it by installing Tcl/Tk 8.4 and making Exmh use that. This is what I have always had for my Exmh font: *font: 6x13 *fl_font: 6x13 This is probably because 8.4 didn't use Xft or whatever font system is in place. If someone can tell me how to get the 6x13 font using a more "modern" font system, I would be glad to switch. Attached is a screenshot of what I currently see as a result of using Tcl/Tk 8.4 instead of the 8.6 which comes with my OS. Is this what you're accustomed to? Andy
