Yes I did, Most of it leads to Chapter 48, and at 5.7 it reads: If a 
submission-mode message does not contain a From: header line, Exim adds one if 
either of the following conditions is true: <option list>  Where the session is 
authenticated and per the tip from Lena an empty domain is specified, so now it 
works. But I do not understand why the From line Thunderbird is not used, 
because there is one and from the looks of it in the debugging output it is 
valid.
