*Job Description:*

Programmer is responsible for analysis, design, coding and testing of
Enterprise Java applications. Programmers typically are involved in
maintenance (including production support), enhancement & development work.



The purpose of this request is to augment the technical staff of the
Information Technology Office (ITO). This senior JAVA/J2EE developer must
have excellent technical and communication skills. This contractor will
assist us with our projects involving J2EE, RSA, JSF, DB2, EJB, Web
Services etc. Candidate must be able to do research on upcoming
technologies and provide direction to the client. The candidate should be
comfortable doing Proof of Concepts and Proof of Technology where required
and be able to present it to peers and management. An indepth knowledge of
Java/J2EE technologies is a must.  Debugging and problem solving skills are
required.



 Candidate will also provide Spring Framework mentoring to client technical
personnel.



Contract staff will work at the direction of ITO staff and will be required
to contribute in all phases of project development.  This includes
analyzing system requirements and work flow analysis, prepare design and
program specifications, coding modules, unit testing of all modules, code
reviews to determine program deficiencies in conjunction with project lead,
and the writing of test scripts.



Selected staff will deliver completed system documentation including system
requirements and work flow analysis document, design and program
specification documents, and test plans. Also candidate will deliver code
modules as assigned, and conduct code reviews, and provide status reports
to project manager and project lead.
