Hi Umesh,

I tried changing the format via from the format cells and Excel changed the
number to 0:00.

The formula =TIME works fine, how do I incorporate that formula into my
=Average formula?

=AVERAGEIF($F$5:$F$17,"=1",$G$5:$G$17) =TIME

That didn't work , then I tried

=(TIME(AVERAGEIF(($F$5:$F$17,"=1",$G$5:$G$17),(11,22,0)

That didn't work.

My formula for =AVERAGEIF($F$5:$F$17,"=1",$G$5:$G$17), works fine. That is
why I attached a copy of the file for someone to look at it and help me.

Hi Susan,

Assuming that the formula is right. To change the number to time format. Do
it this way mentioned below:-
Right Click the cell -> Click on format cells -> Select Time from
Category(Number) -> Choose the format you want.

Hi,

I am trying to change a number to a time format after excel averages out
certain criteria.

This is the average formula I am using:

=AVERAGEIF($F$5:$F$17,"=1",$G$5:$G$17)

This is the Time Formula I'd like added to the average formula, so my number
changes to a time style like 11:22 AM or 11:22 PM

=TIME

I tried adding =TIME to the end of the formula , didn't work.

I've attached the spreadsheet

Thanks!
