Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction on a problem
I'm having. I have an Excel 2003 spreadsheet with an external data
range (query table) that pulls data from an MS Access 2003 table.
This all works just fine, but about half the time I click the refresh
button the range loses it's query definition, and basically just
becomes a normal table without a link to the Access DB.
When it happens I'm able to just click undo (which un-does the
'Refresh Data' action), and it goes back to being a query table.

So my question is, how do I get it to stop losing the query
definition? I've made sure that I have the 'Save Query Definition'
box selected in the Data Range Properties. But like I've said, this
doesn't happen consistently so I'm not sure it could be a simple
setting.
Both the Excel and Access files are saved on a networked file server.
The file I'm working with has several worksheets all with a similar
setup but connecting to different Access tables, and the problem is
happening intermitantly on all sheets.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Gero
