Yes, no difference.

Adding the sent-folder to the search does fix it for the inboxes (never
thought about that, but now also sent emails without relation to inbox-
items appear), the global search-folder still doesn't work like
expected (if I include everything in the search, I expect related
elements to appear regardless where they are).

Probably the restriction currently is everything related, but in the
same folder.
