Sure.  In this case, under my INBOX, I have a folder named Countries. 
It has many folders containing emails and one of those folders also
contains a subfolder (Ireland / Nominations).  I created a new folder
under Countries (Japan).  All seemed well and I closed down. The next
time I booted and started Evolution, the problem re-appeared.  Thanks -
