One of the annoying features. There's no way to tell evolution that it should use a special account, when replying to this list.

The scroll wheel works as normal in other applications as well as the folder list and the list of mails, but not in the preview pane. When double clicking an e-mail, the scroll wheel also works. In very select cases it does work in the preview pane, but I didn't notice a pattern (yet?). I'm running Jessie with some packages from sid, the evolution and other Gnome packages are from jessie.
